Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is a fun movie with a good message. The movie has a video gaming theme, which has been implemented really well throughout, and has been used as a sort of comedic relief.

Michael Cera thrives in a role similar to his in Superbad, a wimpy, geeky kid. His performance is apt for the role. The other actors - including the likes of Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Brie Larson, Anna Kendrick, Chris Evans - also do well.
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World does get points for its unique theme and plot. It also does have a good message. It somehow maintains the equilibrium between silly-teen-movie and meaningful-quality-movie.
